Don’t Hide Your History!

Submit your story

You are cordially invited to help foster community and conversation related to sexuality, health, and education! We all have a story that sticks out to us - many of us multiple ones. Whether it's something that was good or bad, it IS good to share these things about ourselves. "Don't hide your history" are words I've been sitting on for a while, and they can lead to a few things. For the purpose of building this blog and conecting with people, I'm interested in sharing some of my stories and am hoping you are too. *Submit yours to mentionablesinfo@gmail.com

This is a volunteer project, as I'm not able to pay people at this time.
Please give a summary of what you want you want to share in the body of the email, and a Word or PDF attachment of the full story. I'll let you know if it's a good fit!

I am looking for:

  • Personal, true, from your point of view experiences about sexuality and health - Especially ones related to sex education as Mentionables.org focuses on building comprehensive sex education since this is still lacking in doctors offices, interpersonal conversations, and in schools. So, this means not just sexual experiences with others, but also things like body image, cultural pressures, what you wish you knew/wish a doctor told you, pregnancy, abortion, harassment, assault, STIs, safe(r) sex, attraction, dating, plastic surgery... the list goes on!

  •   Stories should be from one to three pages long

  • Open to all people, regardless of background, age, or gender

  • If your story is chosen, I will ask if you want it to be posted anonymously or not. I have other accounts that are linked to this blog and will probably post this project on there too, so it's totally fine if you don't want your name on your story. I can leave that part blank, or you can always use a creative pseudonym! (If you want your name included, give me that info and/or a short bio or links you want included with your story).
